What you'll learn in The Groundwork
UX/UI design basics and Figma
Layout, typography, color, spacing — the fundamentals that separate sites that look thrown together from sites that look professional. Figma turns ideas into clickable mockups before you write any code.
Modern responsive websites
HTML and CSS for web pages that look right on phone, tablet, and desktop. Semantic markup, the box model, flexbox, grid, and the mental model behind responsive design.
Bootstrap, then a lot of Tailwind CSS
A short tour of Bootstrap so you understand utility-first concepts, then deep practice with Tailwind CSS — the dominant utility framework in modern frontend work. Speed and consistency without writing custom CSS for everything.
A ton of projects
Multiple small builds back-to-back. Repetition is how the patterns become muscle memory — by the end of Level 1, you stop thinking about syntax and start thinking about the design.
