Internship FAQ
Is the internship paid?
Compensation terms are confirmed at placement. The internship is included in the Full Program tuition — placement itself is not an extra fee.
How many internship places are there?
Each cohort has 20 places. They go to the 20 top-ranked performers across all six modules. We cap them on purpose — every place is real work we staff and stand behind, so we'd rather offer 20 genuine placements than promise more than we can deliver.
What if I do not make the top 20?
You keep everything you built — the projects, the portfolio, the skills, and the LeetCode milestones — and you can use them to land freelance or full-time work directly. The internship is the reward for the cohort's best; missing it does not cost you the education you paid for.
Where will I actually be placed?
On live projects from the Product Builders Camp portfolio — either with a partner team or directly with our own engineering team. To be straight with you: this is not a referral service that finds you a job at an outside company. It is production work on real software, with real code review, real deadlines, and mentorship from the people who trained you.
What if I do not finish all six modules?
A place requires finishing among the cohort's top performers across every module — Levels 1–5 plus this internship. Partial completion does not qualify, but you keep all the skills, projects, and portfolio work from whichever levels you finished.
Can I skip the internship and go straight to full-time?
Yes. The internship is optional — many people use the program directly to land freelance or full-time work. If you earned a place and change your mind within the same cohort, it stays yours.
What projects will I work on?
Modern real-world projects from the Product Builders Camp project portfolio. Specific assignments are confirmed at placement based on the active project mix and team needs.
Is this the same as the Launchpad?
No. The internship is the earned placement after Level 5 — three to four months on a team, for the cohort's top performers. The Launchpad is a selective separate track for top performers who want to build and ship their own SaaS product, average six months.
